Week 02. Things are getting normal. Engagement goes down a slightly.
However, I don’t worry. I’m happy, because my favourite Masterclass teacher – Jessie Krebs – liked & shared the post about your first priority when you are really lost.

Learnings from this week:
- Less impressions this week. Either the novelty of my posts are lower, or people are winding down for the festive season.
- However, I gained more followers than last week, which might be due to switching to creator profile on Linkedin. (I.e.: the follow button is more prominent in the profile)
- It looks like the deeper or more personal the insight of a post, the less people engage. However, the ones that engage also engage on a deeper level.
- In general feedback is very positive. “Adding value”. I received the recomendation to write a little bit more ‘towards the reader’: i.e. give examples or ask questions that help the reader apply the insight to his/her own situation. (Thanks @Yoshi) Will write more conciously like that.
- Taking that in mind, I will mix up the digestability a bit. Some deep, some easy.
- Found a good article on how to combine your personal blog post with the linkedin article:
https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/blog-posts-versus-linkedin-articles-john-espirian/
(Basically you can post first on your blog, make sure that is registered by google as the first post and then create the same article somewhere else (Linkedin) - I’ve to work on the snippetability (not sure if that’s a word) of my texts. i.e.: write phrases that can be repurposed into shorter posts.
- Writing starts to become easier. Still in the 2-3 hours per day range though.
- Started to create a workflow (will post about it when it feels smooth):
- keep a calendar with topic per day (example below)
- write a post one day before posting in notion (or use a previous idea)
- put it on my blog with a timer
- post next day on Li, X, Instagram
- Engage for some time.
Next week: posts about design and business.
